Elizabeth and Gabriel just returned from the jungle in Brazil, where they were shooting an experimental feature starring themselves. They’re still hallucinating!

Elizabeth and Gabriel have worked together since 2005 from their headquarters at Bank Street Films in New York City. Their first feature, the documentary WADE IN THE WATER, CHILDREN (2008), was born after six months teaching filmmaking to kids in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The film is available from IndiePix Films and Cinema Guild and through iTunes, Amazon, and everywhere else. Newsday called the film “scalding stuff”.

Elizabeth’s short LOFT (2011) premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival, and went on to Beverly Hills, the Hamptons, New Orleans, Calgary, and other festivals. It is now available from IndieFlix Films on DVD and download. See Elizabeth’s photography and home videos: www.woodelizabeth.com

Gabriel’s short HOW IT ENDED (2011), starring 3-time Oscar nominee Debra Winger, played at Sarasota, the Hamptons, Newport Beach, and New Orleans among other festivals, and won the Jury Prize at the 41st USA Film Festival. The film is available from Film Movement on DVD and online.

Elizabeth attended Parsons School for Design and is almost done with her screenwriting MFA at Columbia. Gabriel went to NYU Tisch for experimental theater. He’s slowly earning a Masters in Sociology at NYU.

Bank Street Films has produced videos for Lily and the Parlour Tricks (The Poison Song and The Darwin Song) and for The Bow Ribbons (Bells Ring). Gabriel recently scripted the short doc A Brief History of John Baldessari, narrated by Tom Waits; it will be at New York Film Festival 2012.

Elizabeth’s feature WHITE GIRL and Gabriel’s feature GODF-CKED will both go into production in 2013.  The untitled Brazil Feature is coming soon.
